The Hunger Games, movie

As an avid fan of the Hunger Games trilogy, I and many others had high expectations for this highly anticipated movie adaptation. Fortunately all expectations were fulfilled and the film was successful. Gary Ross did a spectacular job at bringing this epic book onto the big screen. He managed to translate the book perfectly into a film while also still making it easy to follow for those who might not have read the books. The casting for the movie was also very well done. With big names such as Jennifer Lawrence, Josh Hutcherson, Stanley Tucci, and Lenny Kravitz, the characters in the books were portrayed perfectly. Another element that I definitely applaud is the graphics and sound effects. The way the Capitol and the people in the Capitol were designed was the exact image that I and probably other fans pictured it. I also loved the sound effects of the cannons that were used to announce the death of a tribute. It added a dramatic level and a level of suspense to the movie. Overall I believe that as a film adaptation of a book and, just an overall movie the Hunger Games was spectacular. —Daniel for SiriusReviews.com
